if you think about it, though, not doing fanart is good in the same way that not being conventionally attractive is good
you probably get a more sincere and less superficial audience. once i’m good, i’d rather have a small gaggle of people who genuinely appreciate what i do, not people to whom my skills and sensibilities would mean jack shit if i werent drawing like, whatever
i mean sometimes i think I WANT TO BE WHAT EVERYBODY WANTS and then i think, nah man….. that just dilutes things and then how do you who would be there anyway
