you only have that level of indifference because gender hasn’t been an issue for you so essentially you just sound like you’re appropriating an experience that can be a matter of life and death for other people so that you can sound kind of bohemian

its like saying “oh i dont believe in labels, i just fall in love with PEOPLE” when you’ve only ever actually been attracted to the opposite sex and you know it

i mean even if your pan, that phrase is essentially denying other peoples experiences and identities and the shit people go through because of the gender binary does not disappear because you pretend you dont see it. the same way the bars of a jail don’t evaporate when you, outside the jail, pretend that you cant see them

is was like you expanded enough to allow every sensation you were ever going to feel at once, like your body was gigantic (by earth measurements) and it was the first and last time i was able to feel so many things at once with perfect clarity - but it was gone in moments!

it was as though the whole of my earth life was sucked into me in one go and rose into my skin, the contours of my new body and i solidified, and i woke up.

the first things i remember about earth are kind of funny retrospectively, so don’t laugh at me. i remember how it was a surprise every time the air moved, how weird it was that nobody talked on trains or buses but everybody honked and swore in their cars, how what people say and do is supposed to be the thing you pay most attention to but what’s really fascinating is the smell of the air… of hot greasy doughnuts, wet pavement, fresh cut grass, dog fur.

how humans think their body is more a part of them then the astroturf under their feet, the coffee in their hand, or any of the physical vessels through which they manipulate their destiny. how seriously humans take their bodies, down to moles and wrinkles and short fingers and long eye lashes. it didn’t frustrate me at first, of course, as it did eventually - by which time i was as consumed in the act of stifling my own destiny as all the other humans were. i cared what they said, and did, just as they cared about freckles and out-popping belly-buttons and veins on their arms.

they were so helpless, utterly helpless, and by the time i could love them so dearly for it, i too was helpless in my love for them, just as in my disdain at their foibles and short-comings

(when i came to earth i was pissed off, because nobody really warned me how it was going to be. maybe it’s like when your mum pulls off your bandaid real quick and doesn’t tell you it’s gonna hurt, so that you’re not scared and it’s over before you know it. but i’m not a fucking toddler and i wish somebody told me….. what it was actually like, is when somebody you love dies really sudden and for no reason, and you wish so hard that you’d known and they’d known so they could have fixed everything up and had closure and so could you, because it’s like they lived and died for nothing……… except maybe that’s a bit melo-dramatic. maybe)

i did a picture but its ugly, oh dear… well at least i did something! i think i will upload some more of my writing but just for my own self because i dont think anybody else would be interested in reading it
